Supporting companies and small rural producers in building sustainable processes and strong teams.

Let's talk about your concerns

Who we are

Alianza Rural - ARD

Alianza Rural para el Desarrollo (ARD) is an organisation that supports agricultural and agri-food companies and groups of small organic rural producers in their internal development processes.

To achieve these objectives, we promote various strategies, mainly support in their Organic, Regenerative Agriculture and/or Fair Trade certification processes.

We firmly believe that people want and need to be heard. This interaction creates new opportunities and opens paths to new developments. Empathy is a tool for support and recognition. Teams make the difference. There are always individuals who lead the way. Even if leaders are strong, the resilience of companies and organisations is ensured if teams are consolidated around these leaders and they learn to share responsibilities.

With more than 25 years of experience leading group processes, supporting certification processes, and coordinating producer groups, we promote efficient work practices that strengthen organisations and consolidate reliable supply chains, aligned with market demands and consumer values.

Through the Prospera Rural © programme, we promote the structuring and coordination of farmer groups, fostering loyalty, continuous improvement, and lasting relationships between producers and companies.

Agricultural Engineer Eduardo Tilatti

Even before training as an agricultural engineer, I began working on projects related to positive environmental performance. Together with agro-industrial companies, we implemented various projects, such as large-scale composting, effluent disposal and/or treatment, and organic dehydrated meat production for the US market (under NOP certification), among others.

At the same time, I took my first steps in Europe, participating in and coordinating activities in Germany and Switzerland. This experience led to the establishment in Argentina of the local headquarters of two international non-profit organisations, the IMO Group (Institute for Ecological Marketing in Switzerland – now part of the Ecocert Group in France), leading Fair Trade certification through the Fair For Life programme in Argentina, and as a second activity related to certification, the creation of the local office of Demeter International (currently Biodynamic Federation Demeter International), based in Germany. The next step, after three years of work, was to found the current Demeter Argentina Foundation, responsible for Demeter inspections in Argentina and Latin America, which I chaired and continued to direct even after moving to Germany, where I currently reside.

In relation to the advisory and coordination of producer groups, in 2004 the first Cambio Rural (Rural Change) group in Argentina was created (a programme of the Argentine National Institute of Agricultural Technology - https://www.argentina.gob.ar/inta) composed entirely of certified organic producers, totalling more than 20,000 certified hectares in four Argentine provinces. Despite being surrounded by conventional farms, the desire of these agricultural producers to evolve led to the creation of a technical and human group that is still active today: https://pampaorganicanorte.com. I was proud to have been able to coordinate this leading group in the Argentine organic movement for 10 years, until I moved to Europe.

For family reasons, from 2015 onwards, I continued my professional activity in Germany, always in the area of organic certification, Fair Trade certification, private label certification such as Demeter International, and specialising in the auditing and monitoring of Internal Control Systems for small organic producers, fair trade and private label organic certification.

I currently serve as Director of Certification for Latin America and Portugal for a private non-profit organisation related to organic production. In addition, I coordinate the Social Responsibility Committee for the same organisation worldwide and am an honorary founder and advisory member of the Demeter Argentina Foundation.

We want to make this professional experience available to support long-term processes, transforming the people who will then transform those processes.

We work with a network of professionals based on the needs of the various projects.

At Alianza Rural para el Desarrollo (ARD), we work with a network of professionals and specialists who join projects according to the needs of each process.

Our approach combines technical experience, collaborative work, and a deep understanding of the challenges of the rural sector. Through this network of collaborators, we support companies and producer groups in building strong, sustainable organisations aligned with international standards of responsible production and trade.
